Hayah’s Annual Art Competition among Schools

• The importance of art in education and in our lives is undeniable. Art being a universal language allows our students to express themselves through different media. Hosting students from different schools helps build a community with a common interest in art and its appreciation.
• This year we celebrate our 10th anniversary of our annual art competition among schools
• The competition has a different theme every year where students from grades 1-12 express themselves through different fields of art like drawing, painting, collage, 3D Art, digital arts and photography
• The competition is judged every year by a panel of professional artists from Art Café Egypt and winners are awarded for their talents and hard work by our generous sponsors. • Our Awards Ceremony and Exhibition are attended and visited by the participating schools and families of the young artists from over 40 participating schools as of last year. • BEYOND SCHOOLS: Our competition extends this year to include a separate line hosting NGOs that foster art and young talents as part of their mission.

Preservation versus Innovation

• In this era of rapid progress and technological advancements and breakthroughs, we find ourselves yearning for the simpler past while embracing the future. Preserving the past with all its glory and learned lessons and how it affects the present and future is what our artists will reflect on and research in this year’s competition. The differences, connections and predictions are to be highlighted in their artwork.
