Writing

Students start planning their story

Students draw this chart into their copybook replacing the items with their own answers

ex: where is the story set? (in London)

Students start writing their first draft using their planning chart.

students follow the story map in detailing their story.


First paragraph: Opening (Settings, characters, overall idea)

Second Paragraph: Build up (Rising action), where the story starts intensifying a bit. Students introduce all the events that will lead to the main problem. 

Third paragraph: Climax (Problem). Students introduce the main problem here, the point where the tension is highest in the story.

Fourth paragraph: Falling action. Students introduce how the problem is slowly solved and the tension is gone.

Last Paragraph: Ending. Students introduce the ending of the story, the lesson and any future actions.
